Now it is the case that this house has been modernized over and over again for many centuries and therefore we find many architectural styles in the courtyard. From the 13th century from the 15th to the early 20th century. However, the entire building is located on the cobblestones of the once enormous Roman road.

Perfect stay within the Palace! Room was spacious, clean, comfortable. Safe and secure with keypad entry. The entire property was very Covid safe and offered sanitizer and wipes at entrance and within. And oh my, the location was directly straight through the Golden Gate then into a small alley straight off the main square. So so easy to find. Ivana was a fabulous host and communicator. We pass through Split often in our travels and have since 2006. I’m so happy to find Palace Augubio!!

Palace Augubio offers a great value in the middle of Split old town/Diocletian's Palace. It was renovated in a very nice style, rooms have fridges, air conditioning, toiletries. Check in and check out are very easy. Cleaning was spotless and towels were replaced daily. There is plenty of restaurants and stores nearby, the ferry port and train/bus station are also within walking distance. Definitely the place to be in Split. However, the soundproofing is unsufficient. Due to the location, there's lots of nightlife going on, and you can hear the sounds from the street all day. There's no lift and you have to walk some stairs to get there. Not an issue for me and I really enjoyed the stay, but you have to be aware of that.
